Holistic wellness with Cornelia in Kerikeri, New Zealand

About Cornelia: my journey into holistic wellness

Hi, I’m Cornelia, and I’m passionate about holistic wellness and helping others find balance in their lives.

My own health journey began with adrenal fatigue, a condition that had no clear answers in Western medicine. This experience led me to explore natural healing, self-care, and wellbeing practices that have become part of my daily life and my work with clients.

Finding balance with Reiki and holistic wellness practices

I was drawn to Usui Reiki almost by chance, yet it felt like something I was meant to try. From my first session, I loved the way Reiki guided my body into rest-and-restore mode. Unlike many other modalities, Reiki addresses the whole self - mind, body, emotions, and spirit - helping to create balance from within.

Today I am a Level 3a Usui Reiki Master Practitioner and also trained in ear reflexology. These complementary therapies allow me to support women with fatigue, hormonal imbalances, stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. I practise Reiki on myself regularly, ensuring the energy flows harmoniously when I work with others. 💖

Sessions are available in person, from my home in central Kerikeri, Northland, New Zealand, for ladies only. I also offer online Distance Reiki, which is available to everyone, so I can support clients worldwide. ✨

My qualifications

I believe that learning never stops, and I love expanding my knowledge in ways that deepen my practice of holistic wellness. Here are some of my formal studies and certifications:

  • BSc (Hons) Management Studies, Royal Holloway University of London, UK (1996).
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (DipM) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
  • City & Guilds Photography, from Croydon College, UK.
  • National Certificate in Horticulture, Levels 3 and 4 from the Open Polytechnic, NZ.
  • Reiki Master Practitioner. Usui Reiki Levels 1, 2, and 3a all studied with Derek John-Thompson at Starcraft Healing. I achieved Levels 1 and 2 in 2022, and Level 3a in 2023.
  • Certified Herbalist with the Lost Remedies Academy (2024). This simple certificate course makes me a keen amateur: professional herbalists in New Zealand need 3 years of full-time study in order to practice.
  • Certificate in Ear Reflexology, from Karen Middleton at Auckland School of Reflexology, NZ (2025).
  • Sound Healing Practitioner Certification Levels 1 and 2, with Laurie Fulford, Sound Healing Master/Teacher at Harmony Hands Energy Healing (2026).

I'm writing a book!

As well as offering Reiki and ear reflexology sessions, I also create resources designed to make holistic wellness more accessible. I have written wellbeing eBooks on topics such as gratitude, affirmations, and self-care, and I am currently working on a new book: Resilience For Softies: Why You Shouldn’t Toughen Up.

This book is close to my heart, as it draws on both my personal experience and professional practice to show that true strength comes from compassion, balance, and self-love.
